Responsibilities
- Collaborate with government points of contact to perform audit response, audit remediation, internal controls, financial processes, and accounting in accordance with GAAP, SFFAS, and relevant Treasury and OMB policies.
- Understand the end‑to‑end business processes of the Department of the Navy (DON) and apply GAAP, especially regarding procurement processes and identification of stale unliquidated obligations.
- Execute day‑to‑day research, analysis, and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) and communications under the direction of the Team Lead.
- Communicate status of project‑related tasks to the Team Lead.
- Demonstrate excellent writing and communication skills through drafting and updating standard operating procedures, desktop guides, white papers, and technical training materials.
- Show strong customer‑service skills and the ability to handle occasional high‑pressure situations with short deadlines.
- BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college or university.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret (or higher, such as Top Secret or TS/SCI) security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Experience working with DoW clients.
- Experience in DoW financial statement auditing, audit remediation, or audit readiness.
- Experience with procurement business processes and financial reporting.
- CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.
- Certifications such as CGFM, CDFM, CISA, or other professional certifications.
The expected salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $78,000 per year. This range represents base pay only and does not include overtime, company contributions toward paid benefits, or bonuses. Actual compensation may exceed the range based on experience, education, location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses when applicable.
