Vice President, Investor Relations – Family Office/Institutional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Capital Markets to join Bonaventure. The Vice President of Capital Markets will set the tone for how Bonaventure shows up by being a builder, a closer and a relationship operator. You will live to build your network both virtually and while traveling to meet our partners wherever they may be.

You will get energized by developing durable relationships and treating every investor like the long-term partner that they are.

This role will be a direct report to our CFO and offers an exciting opportunity to become a pivotal partner in shaping our equity capital markets strategy. As the Vice President of Capital Markets, you will play a crucial role in securing equity capital for our projects and investment offerings, maintaining relationships with investors, and overseeing the capitalization strategy. This is a senior-level position that requires a deep understanding of the financial markets, exceptional networking skills, and a strong background in both commercial real estate development and alternative commercial real estate investments.

Key responsibilities will include keeping a pulse on the Institutional, Family Office, and QP marketplace, development and deployment of equity raise strategies, ensuring all prospective and current Bonaventure relationships are consistently nurtured, and achieving and exceeding equity fundraising goals for the company.

Who you are

  • You love to work the room. This is where you do your best work and where you genuinely have fun.
  • You are a hunter and a connector. Relentless about the next intro, the next meeting, the next allocation. You don't wait for capital to find you.
  • You are unflappable. "Not now" lands as "not yet." Rejection doesn't slow you down, it sharpens your approach.
  • You are a closer. You don't just build pipeline. You bring capital across the line and back again.
  • You bring polish and grit in equal measure.

What to expect

  • Partner with Bonaventure Investment and Development to build product roadmaps and go-to-market equity raise strategies for family offices, QP, and institutional investors and converting our vertically integrated real estate expertise into differentiated investment vehicles that compete on alignment, transparency, and access.
  • Lead the firm's equity capital strategy for the private wealth channel by sourcing, structuring, and closing equity raises with family offices, QPs, and their advisors to fund Bonaventure's commercial real estate pipeline, with deal structures tailored to each investor's tax posture, time horizon, and capital allocation preferences.
  • Identify and build relationships with investors:
Originate and cultivate relationships with potential equity partners to expand the Bonaventure investor network, nurture relationships, and convert relationships into programmatic, fund, and joint-venture commitments
  • Conduct market research and analysis:
Stay abreast of the competitive landscape by consistently reviewing and updating the senior management team on market trends, industry dynamics, and investment opportunities within the commercial real estate sector. Further utilize this research and analysis to identify potential equity investor targets and product offering strategies to evaluate their financial viability.
  • Identify new opportunities where Bonaventure's unique suite of capabilities intersect with unmet needs in the market, collaboratively produce investment offerings to meet these needs, open distribution channels, and scale capital raising to support these offerings.
  • Execution of comprehensive equity-raise strategies, which includes collaborating with the investments team to develop the core investment thesis, formulating the strategic approach for targeted equity raise initiatives, creating engaging marketing materials, ensuring all the finer details are addressed, and managing effective external communication with investors and target audiences.
  • Serve as one of the main points of contact for QPs, maintaining strong relationships and providing updates on investment performance via the Investor Relations team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, acquisitions, finance, and legal, to align capitalization strategies with project requirements and overall business objectives.
  • Monitor and report on market trends:
