The RoleAs a Member Service Representative, you are the friendly face and trusted advisor for our members. You will handle daily financial transactions with accuracy and care, build lasting relationships, and help members make the most of their credit union. Because we are a small team, you will gain hands‑on experience across financial operations, member service, and compliance, with real room to grow.
WhatYou'll Do
- Greet members warmly, listen to understand their financial needs, and provide personalized service in person and by phone
- Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments with accuracy and care
- Balance and reconcile your cash drawer daily
- Educate members on digital banking, cards, loans, and savings products, and identify referral opportunities that support their financial goals
- Monitor transactions for suspicious activity and follow established fraud prevention and security protocols
- Maintain compliance with BSA/AML and all applicable federal regulations
- Assist with loan processes by gathering documentation and explaining terms clearly
Follow up with members proactively to build loyalty and strengthen relationships
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of cash handling, teller, financial services, or customer service experience
- Strong attention to detail and clear, professional communication
- Basic understanding of debits and credits, cash management, and banking compliance
- Ability to pass a background check and provide a satisfactory credit report is required
- Ability to qualify for coverage under the Credit Union's fidelity bond
- Experience working in a credit union or financial institution preferred
