- Execute daily trading of exchange-based power contracts on the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) using established guidelines and strategies
- Serve as a primary trader on the ICE terminal, buying and selling power contracts within approved risk limits and strategic frameworks
- Monitor market trends and power grid fundamentals to provide actionable insights
- Develop and maintain custom SQL queries for data analysis
- Design and implement quantitative modeling frameworks to enhance decision-making
- Collaborate with exchange trading team members to improve strategies, optimize trading processes, and develop new strategies
- Collaborate with software engineering to create production-grade systems supporting trading efforts
- Maintain clear verbal and written communication across teams
- Provide reliable coverage of trading duties during active exchange hours
Demonstrates expertise in executing trading strategies on the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) while utilizing advanced data analysis and statistical modeling techniques. Proficient in collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize trading processes and enhance decision-making through quantitative frameworks.
Requirements- Proficiency in Excel
- Proficiency in R and SQL
- Working knowledge of statistical modeling methods, including Linear Regression and Tree-Based Models
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Grafana, Tableau, or PowerBI is highly preferred
- Comfort with numerical analysis and high-stakes risk/reward decision-making
- Collaborative, resilient, competitive, and curious mindset
- Ability to work reliably during active exchange hours
- Ability to work 9 AM–6 PM Eastern typical hours
- Ability to work in the Alexandria, Virginia office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
