Position: Retirement Support Specialist with Security Clearance
Title Retirement Support Specialist Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Description RiVidium Inc. is seeking a Retirement Specialist to assist in the execution of various Compensation and Benefit functions. Responsibilities for the position shall include, but are not limited to:
* Answer general telephone and email inquiries forwarded via the customer service call line and escalate complex questions to the appropriate BB Specialist
* Assist the Benefits' Specialists to make copies of submitted retirement package forms; and prepare the packages for mailing to NFC, eOPF, and to retiring employees.
* Assist with filing and scanning an average of 15 completed retirement folders monthly, except at the end of the calendar year, where the volume will increase to an average of 40 completed folders.
* Assist with providing responses to the agency on federal retirement and retirement-related benefits programs. The contractor would possess a high level of knowledge of retirement regulations and practices in order to accurately counsel employees on their entitlement's retirement.
* Provide advice and counsel on various benefits programs as they relate to retirement, including TSP, FEHB, FEGLI, FLTCIP, FSAFeds and FEDVIP.
* Make coverage determinations on entitlements for employees, dependent family members, and ex-spouses by court decree, and provide employees and survivors of deceased employees with estimates of expected benefits and provide to the Benefits Branch Specialist for review.
* Notify Benefits Specialist if finding an employee is impacted by the Federal Erroneous Retirement Coverage Corrections Act (FERCCA)
* Counsel employees concerning making service credit payments and post-1956 military service deposits; assist employees with applications; and verify creditability of service. Notify Specialist upon processing through NFC.
* Assist with training and fairs. The contractor will work with the BB Specialist to prepare the content of presentations, coordinate location, date, time and administrative support.
* Use the GRB Platform to prepare an estimated average of 20 annuity estimates, 20 retirement packages, 10 military deposits and service credit deposits, and 30 SCDs monthly using HRCONNECT, NFC and GRB Assist
* Notify BB Specialists of inquiries regarding disability retirement.
* When conducting an estimate of retirement/benefits options, analyze the eOPFs to determine eligibility for retirement, through review of SF-50s for creditable service, changes in work schedule from full time to part time, paid in full receipts for deposits, and health and life insurance election forms for determination of 5-year coverage requirement.
* Support biweekly post-orientation briefings (approximately 1
-2 hours in duration) to new hires on retirement plans and the importance of Federal Benefits programs.
* Validate SCD calculations for TSP and Retirement in accordance with the OPM Guide to Processing Personnel Actions
* Update status of actions with GRB using the Case Management feature.

Requirements:
* At least 5 years of experience applying the retirement regulations within the Title 5's Code of Federal Regulations and the Office of Personnel Management's CSRS and FERS Handbook and Benefit Letters to support a federal retirement and benefit program.
* Proficient knowledge applying retirement and benefit related entitlements and flexibilities.
* Proficient knowledge of all aspects of the federal employee retirement systems, i.e., CSRS, FERS and federal employees' benefits programs, i.e., Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB), Federal Employees' Group Life Insurance (FEGLI), and Thrift Savings Plan (TSP)
* Proficient knowledge of federal government supplemental benefits to include Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP), Federal Flexible Spending Account Program (FSAFeds), Federal Long-Term Care Insurance (FLTCIP).
* Proficient in using the Government Retirement and Benefits (GRB) platform or similar government retirement and benefits software.
