Investigative Services Specialist

The Springfield Police Department is looking for a dedicated Investigative Services Specialist to join our Criminal Investigations Division. This critical civilian role supports sworn personnel by managing investigative documentation, evidence-related records, case files, and sensitive information that directly impacts public safety and criminal investigations.

• Provide administrative and technical support to investigative units
• Maintain, organize, and audit case files and investigative records
• Enter and retrieve data from law enforcement databases
• Assist detectives with documentation, reports, and evidence tracking

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate’s degree or equivalent in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Communications or related area

OR

• Two years’ experience with criminal justice system experience as a victim advocate, probationary officer, court clerk or closely related occupation

• Obtain and Maintain State certification as a MULES terminal operator
• Valid Driver’s License
