Duties As a Supervisory Program Analyst at the GS-0343-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
* Advise the Director of DSSC on expanding employment opportunities and accommodation services for wounded Service members and individuals with disabilities.
* Serve as the principal DoD and DSSC representative to senior Federal task forces, including the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
* Lead equipment evaluations, needs assessments, and technology demonstrations for supervisors, political appointees, and Federal leaders.
* Assess program effectiveness in relation to recruitment and retention benchmarks for disabled veterans, wounded Service members, and individuals with disabilities.
* Provide expert testimony before Congressional committees (either independently or alongside senior DoD officials) regarding CAP initiatives, policies, and employment provisions. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This position will result in your occupying an excepted service position in accordance with Executive Order 14410 IMPLEMENTING SCHEDULE POLICY/CAREER IN THE EXCEPTED SERVICE Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to theGS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
* Managing or directing a program that provides assistive technology.
* Verifying section 508 compliance, accommodations, or related support services for individuals with disabilities within a Federal agency or Department of Defense (DoD) component
* Supervisory responsibility over professional staff and oversight of acquisition, budget, and policy development activities.
B. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level. Additional information As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you will be serving in a position in Schedule Policy/Career of the excepted service. You will obtain competitive status after two years of service in this position, if applicable. Your employment in this position will be at-will.
