Preparedness And Emergency Management Analyst

ANSER is seeking a Preparedness and Emergency Management Analyst to provide support to the Assistant Secretary of War for Homeland Defense (ASW(HD)). In this role, you will apply your experience in preparedness, emergency management, or national security to support homeland defense mission requirements. You will contribute to planning, analysis, and coordination activities that support the organizations operational and strategic objectives.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Support preparedness, emergency management, homeland defense, and national security activities for the ASW(HD).
- Conduct research and analysis to support mission requirements and organizational priorities.
- Support the development and coordination of planning and programmatic materials.
- Assist with interpreting and applying Federal requirements to mission activities.
- Support the development of acquisition and contracting documentation, including Performance Work Statements (PWSs) and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Coordinate with stakeholders across headquarters and other Federal organizations as needed.
- Prepare briefings, reports, correspondence, and other materials to support senior leadership.
- Perform other related duties in support of the ASW(HD) mission.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field. Two years of relevant experience in preparedness, emergency management, or another national security area may be considered in lieu of the degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in preparedness, emergency management, or another national security area.
- Strong analytical, research, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting senior-level stakeholders.
- Ability to develop clear, concise written products and briefings.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience working within a headquarters organization in the Department of War (DoW) or Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
- Experience working with Federal requirements.
- Experience supporting senior Federal leaders or executive-level organizations.
