- Facilitate and assist with multiple simultaneous engagement opportunities designed for varying cognitive and functional levels.
- Support residents in small-group or one-to-one activities that promote purpose, connection, and daily structure.
- Observe resident participation and communicate changes in engagement, mood, or behavior to the charge nurse.
- Collaborate with Life Enrichment to ensure programming is accessible, inclusive, and tailored to resident abilities.
- Help prepare activity spaces, gather materials, and maintain a calm, supportive environment.
- Provide hands-on meal assistance to residents who require additional support, including cueing, adaptive utensils, or one-to-one assistance.
- Ensure residents receive meals consistent with their dietary orders, restrictions, and preferences.
- Monitor intake and report concerns related to appetite, swallowing, hydration, or nutritional changes.
- Promote a dignified, pleasant dining experience by offering encouragement, pacing support, and attentive supervision.
- Assist with dining room setup, cleanliness, and safe mobility during mealtimes.
