Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management, Healthcare Consultant
Old Town Psychology (OTP) is a family-owned, clinician-led private practice known for exceptional psychotherapy and comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessment. We serve children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across the DMV region with warmth, rigor, and deep respect for each person’s story. Our team values evidence-based care, collaboration, thoughtful consultation, and a growth mindset - and we invest in training through structured supervision, didactics, and mentorship.
WhoThis Role is For
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a background in people management and practice leadership, alongside a strong foundation of deep clinical knowledge and ethical judgment. This is a high-impact leadership-level role with two areas of focus:
- Clinical Excellence: delivering outstanding Therapy and Assessment services
- Practice Leadership: data-driven management of a thriving group practice (including ownership of executive-level planning, KPI’s, budget, capacity utilization, performance reviews, referrals and compliance) - in a way that protects the patient experience and supports clinicians.
We believe excellent care and a well-run practice go together. A sustainable financial profile - supported by thoughtful budgeting and capacity planning - is what allows us to invest in our clinicians, training program, patient experience, and community impact. We are looking for someone who can steward both clinical quality and practice vitality.
What You Will DoThis role blends clinical care, practice leadership and team management. Specific responsibilities may include:
- Maintain a psychotherapy caseload that fits your specialties (15+ direct clinical hours per week)
- Deliver evidence-based treatment informed by case formulation, outcomes, and client goals
- Conduct psychological and neuropsychological assessments including: clarifying referral questions, test selection, administration, scoring, interpretation, integrated report writing, and feedback sessions.
- Coordinate care with referral sources (e.g., physicians, schools, psychiatrists) when appropriate
- Provide clear, actionable recommendations that support clients and families across settings.
- Ensure a positive and growth-oriented environment exists for team members
- Coach and develop clinicians through supportive feedback, case review, and structured performance reviews aligned with OTP values.
- Support trainee onboarding, learning plans, and ongoing evaluation - including supportive remediation planning when needed.
- Contribute to didactics, case conference, and consultation meetings; model a collaborative, curious approach to complex clinical work.
- Provide day-to-day clinical leadership for a team of psychologists, supporting consistency, quality, and a culture of consultation.
- Set, monitor, and meet practice health goals that balance access, quality, and sustainability (e.g., wait time targets, clinician utilization, assessment throughput, timely documentation, and patient experience measures).
- Own budgeting and forecasting; understand key drivers of revenue and expense, and translate them into practical plans for staffing, scheduling, and capacity.
- Use data as a guide (not a hammer): review practice metrics and translate them into practical improvements in scheduling, workflows, staffing, and service-line design.
- Support client access and intake flow by collaborating with our Intake Coordinator/Practice Manager on case matching, capacity planning, and waitlist strategy - especially for high-need or complex cases.
- Participate in strategic planning and service-line development (therapy programs, assessment tracks), evaluating growth opportunities through an executive-level lens: market need, clinician capacity, quality, and financial impact.
- Contribute to community engagement (professional talks, outreach to referral partners, educational content) in a way that is ethical, clinically grounded, and aligned with OTP’s voice.
