We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Alexandria, VA. The right US Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

• Use the ultrasound machine and ensure images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies.
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure.
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
• Educate patients and/or their family regarding procedures performed.
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern.
• Stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty; have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.
• BLS, ARDMS (RDMS OB/GYN), 2 Years.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Job . Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
