Overview

The Receptionist is the first contact for visitors to Providence Manor and is expected to show hospitality and exemplary customer service, in keeping with the Mission, Vision and Values of Providence Care.

Education & Experience
  • Post-secondary certification in Office Administration from an educational facility recognized by the province of Ontario
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software to be determined through testing
  • Prior experience in a health-care setting is preferred
Position

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operation of the Telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing and interdepartmental calls
  • Knowing and following emergency-code procedures and calmly communicating information to various parties as required.
  • Performing a variety of clerical duties, including but not limited to, sorting mail, facsimiles and deliveries and scheduling resident transportation to scheduled appointments and communicating this information to the appropriate Home Area
  • Must maintain confidentiality with regards to client and staff personal information
  • Works in compliance with the Health & Safety Act and its regulations in performing duties in a safe manner and follows all health and safety policies, procedures and legislation including, wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required
