Human Resources Coordinator Temp to Hire | Alexandria, VA

Our client in Alexandria, VA is seeking an energetic and detail‑driven HR Coordinator to join their team on a temp‑to‑hire basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on being the go‑to support partner for both candidates and internal stakeholders.

As the HR Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the recruitment team, ensuring a seamless candidate experience from application through onboarding. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, and passionate about helping create a positive workplace experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters
  • Post job openings to internal and external job boards
  • Assist with candidate communication, including updates, follow‑ups, and next‑step instructions
  • Prepare recruitment trackers, reports, and documentation as requested
  • Ensure applicant data is accurately maintained in the ATS
  • Collect, verify, and process new‑hire documents and onboarding forms
  • Partner with HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth transition for incoming employees
  • Maintain onboarding checklists and help identify areas for process improvement
  • Support HR team members with administrative tasks and special projects
  • Maintain digital employee files and assist with document organization
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1–2 years of HR, recruiting coordination, or administrative experience
  • Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with candidates at all levels
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with an ATS is a plus
  • A team‑oriented, solutions‑focused mindset
