Take2 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role involves working hands-on with Azure cloud services to manage and build infrastructure, networks, and support cloud migration efforts.
Education & Certification Requirements
Candidates should have relevant educational backgrounds with a minimum of fourteen years of experience if holding a Bachelor's degree, twelve years with a Master's, or nine years with a PhD or JD. Certifications in Azure, such as Microsoft Certified:
Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Dev Ops Engineer Expert, are preferred.
Clearance Requirements
Candidates must have an active Secret clearance.
Onsite Requirements
This role is on-site in Alexandria, VA.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable Azure network architectures for hybrid, multi-cloud, and edge environments.
- Utilize cloud-native services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, and Bicep to modernize IT operations.
- Provision core Azure networking components including Virtual Networks, subnets, Network Security Groups, and route tables.
- Implement load balancing, VPN gateways, and firewalls to ensure secure, efficient network traffic flow.
- Develop and maintain IaC scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Implement and manage configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Use Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions, or Jenkins to create and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment.
- Automate monitoring, scaling, and healing processes to improve infrastructure reliability and performance.
- Develop and deploy CI/CD pipelines for accelerating software delivery, embedding cybersecurity measures, and streamlining deployment.
- Integrate security throughout the CI/CD lifecycle, including code scanning, vulnerability management, and compliance reporting.
- Deploy and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, leveraging containerization technologies such as Docker for scalable application deployment.
- Implement service mesh solutions like Istio for enhanced Kubernetes cluster networking and security.
- Manage container registries ensuring the secure deployment of container images.
- Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for comprehensive infrastructure monitoring and alerting.
- Perform performance tuning and resource optimization to maintain cost-effectiveness and system reliability.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Solutions and Architecture.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Power Shell for automation and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops practices, automation, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
- Record of strong problem-solving skills and collaborative work style.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site in Alexandria, VA as required.
Desired Skills
- Experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
- Advanced Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified:
Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Dev Ops Engineer Expert.
