This Department of War enterprise data and analytics program delivers mission‑critical capabilities that enable leaders across the Department to make faster, better‑informed decisions using trusted data dos Digital Modernization sector is seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to support the delivery, enhancement, and adoption of enterprise data and analytics products used across multiple DoD organizations.
In this role, you will work alongside government partners, engineers, and other industry teammates to translate operational and strategic requirements into scalable, production‑ready solutions. You will contribute directly to product planning, execution, and continuous improvement—helping ensure capabilities are delivered efficiently, aligned to mission priorities, and positioned for sustained success.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a high‑visibility, enterprise program at the intersection of data, analytics, and emerging AI technologies. Primary Responsibilities- Design and develop solution architectures integrating applications, data platforms, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity controls.
- Translate business and mission requirements into technical solution designs and implementation plans
. - Support integration of solutions across multiple environments including development, test, integration, and production.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, Dev Ops teams, and cybersecurity personnel to deliver integrated solutions.
- Ensure solutions align with Dev Sec Ops pipelines
, CI/CD processes, and system lifecycle management. - Support implementation of architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices.
- Ensure solutions comply with NIST SP 800-53, RMF, STIGs, and Zero Trust principles
. - Conduct technical analysis, trade studies, and evaluations of tools and technologies.
- Identify and resolve system integration and performance issues.
- Support development and maintenance of architecture documentation and technical artifacts
. - Contribute to improving system scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to program stakeholders.
- Participate in SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility
. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline and 8–12 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in a related field and 6–10 years of relevant experience.
- At least one of the following foundational qualification pathways consistent with DoD 8140 requirements:
- Current DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification appropriate for Intermediate System Administrator roles (e.g.,
Security+, GSEC, SSCP, or equivalent
), - Offerings listed in the DoD 8140 Training Repository,
- Demonstrated equivalent training and experience qualifying under DoD 8140 foundational qualification alternatives.
- Current DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification appropriate for Intermediate System Administrator roles (e.g.,
- Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in systems engineering and architecture to include development of enterprise level system components for DoD based systems involving decision making and/or data intelligence tools.
- Experience designing and implementing technical or solution architectures in enterprise environments.
- Experience integrating software, cloud infrastructure, and data systems.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience supporting Dev Sec Ops pipelines and system deployment processes.
- Experience applying RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience leading technical solution and engineering teams that use Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) (ex. Cameo, System Architect, SysML‑based) tools in the design, development and advancement of system capabilities.
- Experience operating within SAFe or Agile frameworks.
- Active TS/SCI clearance
