Ever-expanding technology like IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence means that there’s more structured and unstructured data available today than ever before. As a data engineer, you know that organizing data can yield pivotal insights when it’s gathered from disparate sources. We need an experienced data engineer to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions—from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence.

At Booz Allen, you’ll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission‑driven projects in the industry. You’ll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful, working with and guiding a multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced, agile environment.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Assess, design, build, and maintain data infrastructure and ensure secure deployment.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and RESTful APIs in Python.
• Work with relational and non‑relational databases such as Postgre
  
  SQL, Mongo
  
  DB, Elasticsearch.
• Collaborate with data analysts, developers, and data consumers to support mission goals.

• 3+ years of experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining enterprise software and data systems in secure, air‑gapped, or disconnected environments.
• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• 2+ years of experience in Python and SQL for data manipulation, automation, and pipeline development.
• Experience with distributed data and computing tools such as Spark or Databricks.
• Experience supporting data lake, data warehouse architectures.
• Knowledge of the SDLC, secure deployment practices, and data security controls.
• Ability to work on site and operate independently in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environment with limited connectivity.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Data Science.

• Experience building enterprise data engineering solutions in the cloud (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with cross‑domain solutions and data transfer guard technologies.
• Experience with data modeling, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Experience with IAM, encryption, and security controls in cloud or on‑prem environments.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry or similar enterprise data platforms.
• Knowledge of containerization or container orchestration technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $ (annualized USD).
