As a data engineer, you know that organizing data can yield pivotal insights when it's gathered from disparate sources. We need an experienced data engineer like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions—from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence.
As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you'll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You'll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.
Here, you'll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You'll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. Work with us to use data for good.
You Have- 3+ years of experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining enterprise software and data systems in secure, air-gapped, or disconnected environments
- 3+ years of experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data
- 2+ years of experience in Python and SQL for data manipulation, automation, and pipeline development
- Experience with distributed data and computing tools such as Spark or Databricks
- Experience developing RESTful APIs in Python to support data ingestion and integration workflows
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, such as Postgre
SQL, Mongo
DB, or Elasticsearch, to support deployment and configuration - Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), secure deployment practices, and data security controls
- Ability to work on site and operate independently in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environment with limited connectivity
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Data Science
- 3+ years of experience building enterprise data engineering solutions in the cloud, including cloud native technologies from AWS and Azure
- Experience supporting classified data systems for the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community
- Experience with cross-domain solutions and data transfer guard technologies
- Experience supporting data lake and data warehouse architectures
- Experience with data modeling, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
- Experience with IAM, encryption, and security controls in cloud or on-prem environments
- Experience with Palantir Foundry or similar enterprise data platforms
- Knowledge of containerization or container orchestration technologies
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

SalaryThe projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $ (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
