Digital Accessibility Specialist (508/WCAG)

RiVidium is seeking a Digital Accessibility Specialist (508/WCAG) to support our planned MODES III team supporting Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP). This role supports Outreach & Engagement Services and helps deliver mission-focused outcomes for service members, families, and related stakeholders. Supports assigned PWS task area; provides subject matter expertise, operational execution, and measurable performance reporting aligned to task objectives. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities- Assess digital products and content for compliance with Section 508 and WCAG expectations.
- Identify accessibility gaps and provide practical remediation guidance to delivery teams.
- Support accessibility testing, documentation, and continuous compliance monitoring.
- Coordinate with designers, developers, writers, and program teams to improve accessible delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant experience aligned to the role and labor category; openings may be filled at Mid‑Senior (8-12 yrs).
- Ability to satisfy applicable Government personnel security requirements for the assigned role and work with sensitive but unclassified information.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills in a mission‑focused delivery environment.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality digital, visual, written, or user‑experience deliverables relevant to the role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Section 508, WCAG, and digital accessibility testing approaches.
- Experience reviewing websites, applications, multimedia, and documents for accessibility compliance.
- Ability to translate accessibility findings into practical remediation guidance for delivery teams.
This role is expected to support work in the Alexandria, Virginia area, with on‑site support at the DoD Mark Center or other customer‑approved locations as required. Hybrid support in the Alexandria, Virginia area is expected, with on‑site support as required by the customer. This role should be prepared to support Section 508 and WCAG compliance activities as part of digital delivery.
