Job Title:
Senior Data Scientist
As a Senior Data Scientist at Booz Allen, you will transform large, complex data sets into insights that drive solutions to global challenges such as fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence. You will work with clients to define problems, develop algorithms and data pipelines, and communicate findings to stakeholders of varying technical depth.
Responsibilities- Lead and mentor team members in developing data science solutions.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their questions and gather required data.
- Create and optimize algorithms and systems that process both structured and unstructured data.
- Develop and maintain operational data pipelines across multiple data formats and interfaces.
- Build data visualizations, dashboards, or lightweight web applications to communicate key insights.
- Explain technical findings and data interpretations clearly to non‑technical audiences.
- 5+ years of data science experience including quantitative analysis, visualization, and complex data processing.
- 4+ years working with SQL or No
SQL databases and cloud architectures. - Experience leveraging APIs to query systems and migrate data.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with data manipulation and ETL procedures.
- Experience developing and sustaining operational data pipelines.
- Experience creating data visualizations, dashboards, or lightweight web applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for audiences with varying technical knowledge.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Data Analytics.
- Experience with enterprise IT capabilities, Government ATO processes, and NPE certificates.
- Experience implementing SAFe processes, standards, and tools within an organization.
- Experience building dynamic visualizations to monitor data pipeline metrics.
- Experience working with AI and ML technologies.
- Knowledge of commercial cloud services used by the intelligence community.
- Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Salary range: $99,000 – $225,000 annually, depending on location and experience. Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement plans, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care. Eligible employees work at least 20 hours per week and receive the full benefit package; part‑time workers receive partial benefits.
