Job Overview
North Point Technology is looking to hire a Dev Ops / Systems Engineer to work on our Cloud Automation Advancements Team. The qualified candidate will work hand in hand with technical and program management leadership to implement the next‑generation desktop and web‑based production and dissemination system. The role involves standing up and maintaining Windows Servers in cloud environments, deploying and maintaining custom code, COTS, and GOTS to those environments.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑moving cloud automation environment and enjoys building reliable, innovative systems in support of the mission.
Active TS security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI post‑hire.
DoD 8570‑compliant certification (e.g., Security+).
Responsibilities- Collaborate with technical and program management leadership to implement next‑generation desktop and web‑based production and dissemination systems.
- Stand up and maintain Windows Servers in cloud environments.
- Deploy and maintain custom code, COTS, and GOTS in those environments.
- Experience with cloud computing and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience administering Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop operating systems
- System design and architecture across hardware, software, and networking
- Working knowledge of custom code development and code reviews
- Strong understanding of Dev Sec Ops methodologies and workflows
- Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Git Lab functionality, error codes, and scripting
- Experience with Red Hat Open Shift
- Experience developing web applications with Python
- Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies
- Experience using AWS services and technologies (e.g., Cloud Formation, S3, ECS, EKS)
- Experience with AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, load balancing, autoscaling)
- Experience troubleshooting, configuring, and deploying Docker containers
- Experience writing, maintaining, and documenting architecture diagrams
- Experience with team collaboration tools and administration (Jira, Confluence, Rocket Chat)
- Microsoft and/or AWS certifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI post‑hire
- DoD 8570‑compliant certification (e.g., Security+)
