Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist The OpportunityWhen our country’s cyber security is on the line, simply reacting is not enough—we need a plan. To support the Army's enterprise network, we require a cyber strategic planning and development specialist who can guide a team in analyzing policies that determine cyber resilience. In this role you will oversee staff working on the assessment of the Army's current cyber policies, the coverage of those policies, and areas of risk.
You will evaluate how policies stack up to regulations, best practices, and industry standards, and lead the team in developing a strategic cyber roadmap to ensure secure operational environments.
- 8+ years of experience supporting cybersecurity, network operations, systems administration, cloud environments, infrastructure engineering, or cyber defense activities
- Experience implementing, securing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise IT infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions
- Experience supporting vulnerability management, system hardening, risk assessments, and remediation efforts
- Knowledge of enterprise network, system, and cloud infrastructure concepts and security principles
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, defense‑in‑depth strategies, and risk management methodologies
- Ability to develop, integrate, and maintain operational TTPs, SOPs, and Concept of Operations (CONOPs)
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- DoD 8140 compliant security certification such as Security+, CASP+, CISSP, CySA, GIAC certification
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence products
- Experience supporting government, DoD, Intelligence Community, or large enterprise cybersecurity environments
- Ability to identify emerging threats, adversary behaviors, and cybersecurity risks impacting organizational missions
- Ability to collaborate with cybersecurity, intelligence, and operational stakeholders to support mission objectives
- Master's degree
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required.
Compensation and BenefitsSalary for this position ranges from $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD) and is based on location, education, skills, and experience. Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement plans, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care. Work Model- Remote: If listed as remote, occasional in‑person work may be required at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid: If listed as hybrid, frequent work from a Booz Allen facility is expected, with occasional customer visits.
- Onsite: If listed as onsite, work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with collaboration among colleagues and customers.
