Technical Writer III

Provide technical writing support to a large enterprise IT contract

Responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation

Write and edit technical documentation for hardware and software to include installation, configuration, and how-to documentation

Create code documentation for software, produce implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities, provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation and format technical drawings

Collaborate with technical SME's, architects and cross-functional teams in deadline-driven environments

Ensure style, formatting, and terminology align with agency standards, style guides, and specialized vocabulary relevant to the subject matter

Write and edit executive level briefing notes

Demonstrate the ability to strongly collaborate and work independently, with proven ability to thrive in team environment

While excelling in solo tasks, demonstrate flexibility to seamlessly switch between collaborative projects and autonomous responsibilities

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to the position; an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in addition to education level

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word (styles, cross-references, formatting, document integration, and complex document management) Visio, Adobe Acrobat PDF creation, and file manipulation

Experience working in a DoD or IC environment desired

Current active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
