Cyber Action Officer
We are seeking a candidate to serve as a Cyber Action Officer. This role involves organizing correspondence and drafting executive-level materials. The position requires strong communication skills and a foundational understanding of cyber risk assessment. The ideal candidate will be proficient with modern collaboration tools and knowledge management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, draft, and write executive-level correspondence and materials such as memorandums and white papers to support decision-making.
- Leverage collaboration forums, including MS Teams applications, planners, and Power BI, for knowledge management and to enhance team delivery.
- Support cybersecurity risk assessments and supply chain risk management efforts.
- Provide an operational understanding of cybersecurity programs.
- Facilitate meetings, including working groups and conferences, and manage associated pre and post-meeting activities.
- Support coordination and staffing processes and tools.
Required Qualifications
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar field is required. This may be supplemented with an additional four years of relevant experience. An Associate's Degree or no degree requires nine years of total experience.
Experience:
A minimum of five years of experience in services for the Federal government or Federal advising within a professional work environment is required.
Security Clearance:
Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Top Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of NIST 800 series publications.
- Knowledge of Joint instructions and manuals.
- Knowledge of policy around non-traditional IT Cybersecurity, including ICT-SCRM and C-SCRM.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience briefing and collaborating with executive or senior leadership.
- Experience as an Action Officer in a military or government setting.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated salary for this position is between $100,000 and $105,000. This employer offers a comprehensive benefits package.
