This position serves as a Supervisory IT Specialist, located in the Office of Information Technology, Executive Office for Immigration Review, U.S. Department of Justice. The Supervisory IT Specialist is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of IT services and operations, network and telecommunications services, and customer-facing support services.

To qualify for the position of Supervisory IT Specialist, at GS-2210-14, you must meet the qualification requirements listed below.

Basic Qualifications (2210 series):
Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions.

AND

Specialized

Experience:

To qualify for the GS-14 grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties:

Providing guidance in developing, implementing, and updating policies, procedures, and operational standards pertaining to IT network operations, service functions, communication systems, and systems administration;

Planning workflow and work assignments for staff by setting and adjusting short-term work priorities;

Monitoring system performance and leading corrective actions to enhance performance and prevent future issues;

Advising on new and advanced technologies and determining the impact on operational effectiveness; and

Managing the full lifecycle of enterprise-level IT systems, overseeing the planning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
