Dev Ops Engineer The Opportunity

Design and develop automated build, test, and deployment systems across multiple codebases, build tools, application servers, and platforms. Work with emerging and legacy project teams to develop easy-to-adopt automated solutions for their development pipelines and software development lifecycle. Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of continuous integration systems including build and deployment used across multiple environments. Design, maintain, and troubleshoot automated testing and tools to support multiple projects and SDLC methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.

Design and implement static code analysis standards and metrics, aggregate and track across project teams. Design and develop cloud architectures including configuring and spinning up virtual machines for application deployment, including Linux and Windows operating systems, cloud automation and configuration tools, understanding the need for scaling, templating and automation. Proactively communicate and coordinate with multiple project teams. Independently seek opportunities to implement speed and efficiency improvements as technology and capabilities evolve.

Seek out new Dev Ops related capabilities via open-source industry and marketplace research for potential implementation.

You Have
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS
  • Experience with complex build systems
  • Experience with Linux, such as Red Hat or CentOS
  • Experience with continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins or Git Lab
  • Experience with unit, integration and functional testing tools, such as JUnit or Selenium
  • Experience with source control management (SCM) systems, such as Git Hub and Bitbucket, and with Git Hub Actions
  • Experience with configuration management tools, such as Terraform or Ansible, and with containerization, such as Docker and Kubernetes or EKS
  • Experience with SCM branching strategies and build and dependency management, such as Maven, Nexus, or AWS ECR
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have
  • Experience with test-driven development or behavior-driven development
  • Experience with Groovy and Bash
  • Experience with systems development for federal clients
  • Experience with deploying Java and JavaScript application
  • Knowledge of static code analysis, such as Sonar Qube
  • Knowledge of application vulnerability scanners, such as Prisma/Twist Lock or Tenable/Nexus
  • Ability to multitask
  • Possession of strong organizational skills
  • AWS Solutions Arch or Developer certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $ (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
