TS​/SCI Data Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a TS/SCI Data Engineer to support a large government customer in Alexandria, VA. In this role, you will serve as a Data Engineer supporting Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF 401), where you will design, build, and maintain data architectures and analytical solutions that transform large volumes of operational, intelligence, and mission data into actionable insights. On a day-to-day basis, you will develop scalable data pipelines that collect, integrate, process, and manage information from a variety of operational, intelligence, and enterprise systems, ensuring data is clean, accurate, accessible, and ready for analysis.

Using tools such as Maven Smart System (MSS), Palantir, Power BI, Python, and AI-enabled analytics platforms, you will support mission analysis, operational assessments, and strategic decision-making efforts. You will aggregate and analyze structured and unstructured data, develop dashboards and visualizations, and create common operating picture products that help stakeholders understand complex operational environments and make informed decisions. The role also involves leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to automate data processing, identify patterns and trends, extract key information, and support predictive analytics.

Working closely with engineers, analysts, operators, and mission stakeholders, you will gather requirements and develop data-driven solutions that support Counter‑Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C‑UAS) operations, capability development, operational assessments, technology demonstrations, and acquisition efforts. Additionally, you will develop data models, maintain databases and metadata repositories, establish performance metrics and analytical frameworks, and produce technical documentation, reports, and executive‑level briefings for senior leadership.

Ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with applicable policies and governance standards will be a key responsibility, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve data architectures, automation workflows, and analytical methodologies. Staying current with emerging AI technologies, advanced analytics capabilities, and mission‑relevant data sources will be essential to enhancing organizational effectiveness and supporting informed operational and procurement decisions.

$40/hr to $55/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
