Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
Configure, and implement MFT solutions using Axway Secure Transport.
Develop file transfer workflows, routes, and trading partner configurations.
Integrate Secure Transport with internal applications, external partners, and AWS services.
Install, upgrade, patch, and configure Axway Secure Transport environments.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve file transfer, connectivity, and performance issues.
Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, keys, and certificates.
Administer Secure Transport on Linux, including OS-level configuration and tuning.
Implement and maintain secure file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, etc.).
Apply security best practices across Axway Secure Transport, Linux, and AWS.
Manage encryption keys, SSL/TLS certificates, SSH keys, and authentication mechanisms.
Work with security teams to ensure adherence to security policies and regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, as applicable).
Support security reviews and audits by providing logs, evidence, and technical input.
Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting for MFT services.
Use Axway Sentinel (if available) or other tools for tracking, reporting, and SLA compliance.
Support audit and compliance reporting with required logs and transfer history.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Public Trust or ability to obtain
- 3–5 years in Axway Secure Transport (Alternate Managed File Transfer experience is acceptable)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Relevant certifications a plus, such as:
Axway Secure Transport / MFT certifications.
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect – Associate, or equivalent.
- Installation, configuration, administration, and partner onboarding.
- Configuration of file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, etc.).
- Daily administration and troubleshooting on Linux servers.
- Understanding of deploying and operating applications/services in AWS.
- Understanding of encryption, TLS/SSL, SSH, key management, and certificates.
- Familiarity with secure configuration of servers, firewalls, and access controls.
- Experience with authentication/authorization mechanisms (LDAP/AD, IAM roles, RBAC) is a plus.
- Good understanding of DNS, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Exposure to SQL and relational databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL).
Experience in ITIL-based environments (incident, change, problem management) and Agile methodology.
Experience in Cloud (AWS) is a plus
We are seeking an Axway Secure Transport Engineer with strong Managed File Transfer (MFT), Linux, and AWS experience. The engineer will design, implement, and support secure file transfer solutions using Axway Secure Transport, integrating with cloud and on‑premise systems while ensuring security, availability, and compliance. Experience with Axway Sentinel and exposure to SQL databases (Postgres/MySQL) are highly desirable.
