Position Summary:
The Senior Supply Analyst supports the Supply Directorate in developing, maintaining, and improving supply and materiel management policies, processes, and procedures. The role provides policy and process expertise across multiple DoW Logistics disciplines to analyze current practices, evaluate customer requirements, and propose integrated solutions that enhance Asset Visibility, inventory management, and supply chain efficiency. The senior analyst provides policy and process recommendations across areas including, but not limited to, Class I (Subsistence) and Class II (Clothing, Textiles), demilitarization and disposition, warehousing, and cataloging/provisioning, while ensuring compliance with Federal Catalog standards, and Defense Logistics Management Standards.
The position requires experience in policy analysis, risk assessment, and integrated program execution to support decision‑making and optimize DoD supply operations.
- Support Supply Directorate operations by completing assigned tasks and processing supply policy requests.
- Lead technical input to improve DoW supply policies, directives, and manuals.
- Conduct analysis and provide recommendations to enhance supply chain processes, including munitions lifecycle, asset visibility, cataloging, provisioning, and demand planning.
- Assist in drafting policies on DMSMS, counterfeit prevention, material disposition, bulk fuel, and War Reserve Materiel; maintain supporting documentation and reporting.
- Lead in reviews, assessments, and governance forums; capture key issues and assist in evaluating waiver requests via CATMS.
- Deep experience with DoD Supply Chain management, and specific experience in one or more Classes of DoD Supply.
- Understanding of the DOTMLPF‑P framework and its application to Logistics Policy.
- Experience with one or more classes of supply and their integration into defense logistics/supply.
- Strong skills in policy analysis, development, and writing.
- Ability to analyze, assess, and recommend improvements to policies, processes, and program controls.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills for supporting boards, committees, summits, and cross‑functional engagements.
