Are you a seasoned construction leader with a passion for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget? We’re seeking a Senior Project Manager to drive project execution and client satisfaction for a growing construction team in Alexandria, VA
. This role is ideal for experienced professionals with a strong technical background in drywall and specialty finishes who want to lead complex commercial projects and mentor project teams.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will take full accountability for the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of assigned construction projects. You’ll be a primary point of contact with owners, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and financial goals.
- Lead all phases of project delivery from preconstruction through close-out.
- Review and manage contract documents, scopes, specifications, and schedules.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements on every project.
- Establish, monitor, and report on project budgets, forecasts, and cost-to-complete.
- Prepare and manage change orders, submittals, and schedule updates.
- Drive cost control, risk mitigation, and profitable project performance.
- Serve as the primary client contact for project communications and issue resolution.
- Lead project meetings and manage expectations with owners, consultants, and team members.
- Mentor and develop junior project staff to support growth and project success.
We are looking for a proactive construction leader with proven project management experience in commercial construction trades.
Required- Minimum of 5 + years of project management experience, ideally in specialty trades such as drywall, exterior finishes or related scopes.
- Strong understanding of contract administration and construction documents.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., Procore, Autodesk Build or similar).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to local job sites.
- Construction management degree or related field.
- Experience with estimating or earlier career experience in field operations.
