Pay: $60.00 – $64.00 / Hourly

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week; fully onsite)

About Our Client:

Addison Group is partnering with our client, a mid‑sized organization with approximately 400+ employees, to identify a seasoned Facilities Director for a contingent engagement. Our client operates within a large, multi‑tenant commercial office building environment and is seeking a strategic, hands‑on leader to oversee and elevate their facilities operations as their real estate footprint and ownership responsibilities evolve.

Job Description:

The Facilities Director will provide executive‑level oversight of building operations, capital improvements, workplace strategy, and facilities staff. This individual will serve as the primary point of accountability for the overall building experience, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, vendor performance, and long‑term facilities planning.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical knowledge, leadership capability, and business acumen, with experience managing complex commercial office environments of significant square footage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of facilities operations including preventative maintenance programs, building systems oversight, and emergency response planning
  • Direct capital improvement initiatives, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades from planning through completion
  • Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, RFP processes, and ongoing performance management
  • Manage operating and capital budgets, track expenditures, and develop multi‑year maintenance strategies
  • Supervise facilities staff and provide mentorship, performance guidance, and organizational structure recommendations
  • Coordinate building security, parking operations, access control systems, and life safety compliance
  • Partner with leadership to support space planning, office reconfigurations, and conference center enhancements
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, local building codes, and safety regulations
  • Serve as liaison with building ownership groups and external property management partners
  • Support onboarding/offboarding logistics in coordination with HR and IT, including workspace setup and security access
  • Respond to after‑hours facility emergencies as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 12+ years of progressive facilities or building operations experience
  • Minimum 5 years leading facilities teams (coordinators, maintenance staff, security, etc.)
  • Experience overseeing large commercial office environments (multi‑tenant buildings preferred)
  • Demonstrated success managing capital projects and six‑ to seven‑figure renovation budgets
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
  • Experience developing and managing operating and capital budgets
  • Background in vendor negotiations and contract management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills preferred), facilities management systems, space planning tools, and CAD
  • Strong leadership presence with excellent communication and customer service skills

PMP, FMP, CFM, SFP, or related credentials
