Position: Production Operator I - US

Location

Role Overview

The Green Room Operator supports manufacturing operations by operating sizing room equipment used to separate abrasive materials into specific particle sizes. This role ensures production activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. The position contributes to consistent product quality through hands‑on processing, monitoring, and material handling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate sizing room equipment and follow established production procedures
  • Fill draw tanks with abrasive slurry from central mixing tanks
  • Measure and monitor product density using standard procedures
  • Draw water from sizing tanks and remove processed material
  • Provide product samples to Quality for testing
  • Cut and settle material into blocks and transfer to drying pans
  • Load and unload drying trays
  • Perform physical tasks including bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and material handling
  • Clean equipment, pans, hoses, and maintain a clean work area
  • Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards and wear required PPE
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work (standing, bending, lifting, shoveling throughout an 8‑hour shift)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment
  • Willingness to work in a non‑temperature‑controlled environment
  • Ability to comply with all safety requirements, including use of PPE (hard hat, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, respirator as needed)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior manufacturing or industrial experience
  • Experience working in environments requiring strict safety and quality standards
  • Familiarity with material handling, production processes, or similar equipment
