Role Description The Electronic Assembler is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, VA. This role is responsible for assembling electronic components and subsystems according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing soldering operations, routing and terminating electrical wiring, using hand tools to build and secure mechanical assemblies, and inspecting work to ensure proper functionality and adherence to specifications.
The Electronic Assembler will collaborate with production and engineering teams, follow safety and ESD procedures, document completed work, and support continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in soldering and related electronic assembly techniques.
- Candidates should possess skills in using hand tools safely and effectively for assembly tasks.
- Candidates should possess skills in mechanical assembly and fitting of components and hardware.
- Candidates should possess skills in electronics manufacturing processes and best practices.
- Candidates should possess skills in electrical wiring, cable routing, and connector termination.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and adherence to safety and ESD protocols.
- Previous experience in electronic or electro-mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics or related field is a plus.
- Ability to stand, sit, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required.
