Position: Competitive Spending Analyst

Overview

We are seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Competitive Analyst to join our media and strategy team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high energy environment and has a history of fostering clear lines of communication. Your work will help to shape media and communication strategies by delivering accurate, real-time insights about both allied and opposing media activity in the most important political races in the nation.

The right candidate will combine analytical rigor with curiosity, strong communication skills, and a passion for politics and media.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Competitive Monitoring: Track, analyze, and report on media spending, messaging, and creative strategy across broadcast, cable, digital, and CTV.
  • Reporting Tool Administration: Manage the firm’s competitive intelligence tools and dashboards, ensuring timely updates and actionable insights for internal teams and clients.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain high standards of accuracy in all monitoring and reporting outputs, collaborating across departments to ensure excellence.
  • Agency Communication: Serve as a professional point of contact with station representatives, media vendors, and data partners to verify metrics and creative information.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Support agency visibility through professional social media updates that highlight non-partisan data visualizations, media trends, and campaign insights.
  • Create clear, factual, and visually compelling summaries of market activity — focusing on data, not opinion or advocacy.
Growth Potential & Collaborative Duties
  • Assist the media buying team with vendor outreach and placement tasks.
  • Contribute to schedule entries, rate updates, payment coordination, and other operational support functions.
  • Learn the fundamentals of political communication strategy through exposure to live campaigns and cross-channel media planning.
Qualifications
  • 1–2+ years of experience in competitive reporting, media analysis, or related role (agency or political experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Familiarity with media monitoring tools (AdImpact, Cross Screen, Trade Desk, Meta, Google) a plus.
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Curiosity about the intersection of media, data, and political strategy.
Why Join Us

You’ll work inside one of the most successful political media agencies in the world — collaborating with strategists to shape campaign communication that shapes the future of our government.

This is a growth-track position offering mentorship, exposure to live campaigns, and the opportunity to build a foundation in political media strategy.
