Job Description
Inova Mount Vernon is looking for a Full Time Perianesthesia (PACU) Nurse. The position requires 36 hours per week, scheduled in 4×9 shifts from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with an on‑call requirement to support off‑shift times, holidays and weekends.
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) has 13 bays (10 phase 1s and 3 phase 2s) serving a diverse surgical population, including general, spine, orthopedic, robotics, urology, plastics, gynecology, breast, podiatry, vascular, ENT and ECT procedures. Nurses care for patients in Pre‑Op, Phase 1 and Phase 2 depending on patient needs.

- At least one year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience.
- BSN from an accredited nursing school. If an ADN, must complete a BSN within five years of hire.
- RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Active ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Two or more years of PACU or critical care experience.
