Goodwin Home Health is currently seeking a full-time Clinical Nurse Manager that is able to work after hours and weekend availability as needed for clinician support and is responsible for leading and supporting the nursing team to include RNs, LPNs, HHAs. The Clinical Nurse Manager will supervise the RNs, as well as support the case management of patients receiving skilled nursing care.
This position will support the Compliance Officer by assisting with reviewing clinical information to assure all OASIS documentation is reviewed, accurate, and appropriate per CMS/ACHC guidelines and for billing purposes. The Clinical Nurse manager will assist with nurse scheduling, supporting field nursing with obtaining necessary orders and labs from MD offices, and collaborate with the Clinical Therapy Manager to assure the interdisciplinary team is working towards patient centered care and goals to support the mission of Home Health at Goodwin Living.
Goodwin Home Health provides skilled care throughout Northern Virginia, focusing on the counties of:
Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William and Loudoun.
- Performs/completes OASIS documentation
- Performs a detailed assessment resulting in the development of a patient specific Plan of Care. Client clinical record documentation is done per agency policy
- Provides direct nursing care in a Home Health setting under the guidelines of a physician’s order
- Communicates with other team members regarding the Plan of Care and works closely with team members for optimal outcomes
- Effectively communicates with referring physicians, and provides accurate treatment notes and other necessary documentation in a timely manner, per policy.
- Prepares for patient discharge planning as soon as possible along with informing and preparing the patient, team members and physician
- Registered Nurse with an active, current, and unrestricted license (required).
- A minimum of two (2) years of home health experience required.
- A minimum of 2 years in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, PDGM coding and process, OASIS accuracy/coding, and CMS/ACHC guidelines and requirements.
- Proficient analytical, negotiation, communication, problem solving and decision‑making skills (required).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel, be willing to adapt to various EMR systems currently used as well as other programs used throughout the community.
