Activities Assistant

Location:

Woodbine Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, supported by Marquis Health Consulting Services.

Hours:

8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Full‑time. Same‑day pay.

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour. If you opt for the No Frills Program (no vacation, sick time, personal days, or holidays), you earn an additional $3.00 per hour.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Document daily participation of residents in scheduled programs.
  • Promote the social, physical, and intellectual well‑being of residents.
  • Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing recreation programs.
  • Participate in community marketing events as needed.
  • Assist with and follow through on the establishment of resident care goals within the overall team framework.
  • Communicate residents' mood, behavior, or level of involvement to appropriate team members.
  • Perform administrative requirements such as audits, forms, and reports.
  • Help set up, break down, and decorate for resident and facility events.
  • Assist and transport residents to and from daily scheduled activities.
Experience & Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred: at least one year of experience in an Activities Department in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility.
Specific Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
  • Patience, cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and willingness to handle residents at various maturity levels.
  • Participation in continuing education and in‑service training.

Wound Care Nurse

Location:

Woodbine Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, supported by Marquis Health Consulting Services.

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Full‑time. Same‑day pay.

Pay: $33.00 – $36.00 per hour. If you opt for the No Frills Program, you earn an additional $3.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care in accordance with acceptable standards of nursing practice and the written plan of care, as well as physicians' plans of treatment.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical judgement.
  • Provide wound care based on patient needs and best clinical judgement.
  • Provide respectful and compassionate care to all residents, families, and caregivers.
  • Provide direction to clinical team members.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality.
  • Accurately document care in accordance with orders.
Qualifications
  • Current, unencumbered, active LPN or RN license in Virginia.
  • Wound care certification strongly preferred but not required.
  • Valid BLS (CPR) certification.
  • At least two years of experience as a Wound Care Nurse in a nursing home setting.
