Activities Assistant

Join our team at Woodbine Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center as an Activities Assistant.

Hours:

8AM - 4:30PM

Pay rate: $17 - $19 per hour

No Frills Program for Full-Time Employees:
If you opt for no benefits (no vacation, sick time, personal days, or holidays), you’ll earn an additional $3/hour on top of your base pay.

Responsibilities
  • Document daily participation of residents in scheduled programs
  • Promote the social, physical, and intellectual well‑being of our residents.
  • Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing the recreation programs of the facility.
  • Participate in community marketing events as needed
  • Assist with and follow through on the establishment of resident care goals within the framework of the entire team.
  • Communicate the residents' mood, behavior, or degree of involvement to the appropriate team members.
  • Perform administrative requirements as needed, such as audits, forms, and reports.
  • Help set up, break down, and decorate for resident and facility events.
  • Assist and transport residents to and from daily scheduled activities
Experience & Education
  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • As a minimum, one (1) year experience in an Activities Department in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related medical facility is preferred.
Specific Requirements
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  • Must have patience, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
  • Must participate in continuing education and in service training.

Wound Care Nurse

Join our team at Woodbine Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center as a Wound Care Nurse.

Shift: Monday through Friday 6 am-2 pm

Pay Rate: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care in accordance with acceptable standards of nursing practice and the written plan of care as well as physicians plan of treatment.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical judgement.
  • Provide wound care in accordance with patient needs and best clinical judgement.
  • Provide respectful and compassionate care to all residents/families/caregivers.
  • Provide direction to clinical team members.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality.
  • Accurate documentation in accordance with the orders provided.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active LPN or RN license in Virginia.
  • Wound Care Certified strongly preferred but not required.
  • Valid BLS Certification (CPR).
  • Must have at least 2 years prior experience working as a Wound Care Nurse in a Nursing Home setting.
