Registered Nurse; RN PACU Part Time

Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU) Nurse. The RN will work pre‑ and post‑operative care in Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the PACU.

This is a part‑time position with two 12‑hour shifts covering the hours 9:00 am to 11:30 pm, with occasional on‑call night, weekend, and holiday requirements.

Inova Alexandria Hospital is a 318‑bed community hospital that offers a full range of health‑care services and has received national recognition for health‑care excellence. It is a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The facility serves patients from newborns to seniors and continuously expands its programs and services to meet community needs.

The operating room is equipped with 11 surgical suites and provides a comprehensive range of surgical specialties including orthopedics (total joints, sports medicine, spine), general surgery, ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, podiatry, and maxillofacial.

• At least one year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing school, or an Associate’s Degree (ADN) with completion of a BSN within five years of hire.
• Valid RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS healthcare provider certification from the American Heart Association required at hire; ACLS and PALS must be completed within the first 90 days.

• Two or more years of experience in Pre‑Op and PACU, ICU or ED settings.
