Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join our team. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign‑on & relocation bonuses.

Full time, Night shift (40 hrs per week) with call.

Four 10‑hour shifts per week (9 pm – 7:30 am) OR Two 8‑hour shifts per week (11 pm – 7:30 am) and Two 12‑hour shifts per week (7 pm – 7:30 am).

Inova Alexandria Hospital is a 318‑bed community hospital located in Alexandria. Our OR has 11 suites and 4 endoscopy suites and offers comprehensive surgical specialties including orthopedics, sports medicine, spine, ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, robotics, podiatry, and maxillofacial. Endoscopy services include heartburn treatment.

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based upon assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
• Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end‑of‑life decisions.
• Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues.
• Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients' learning needs.

• Experience
  :
  Minimum of 1 year of direct Operating Room experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Education
  : BSN or ADN from an accredited nursing school. If holding an ADN, must complete a BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License
  :
  Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• Certification
  :
  Basic Life Support with the American Heart Association.

• Experience with orthopedics, neuro/spine, robotics, and trauma cases.
• Circulating and scrubbing experience.
• AORN's Periop 101 curriculum completion and/or CNOR.
