Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join our team. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses.

Work Schedule:

Full time, Day shift (40hrs per week) with call.

Shift options:
Five 8hr shifts per week (7am - 3:30pm) or Two 8hr (7am - 3:30pm) & Two 12hr (7am - 7:30pm) shifts per week.

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments, interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based upon assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
• Supports and empowers patients and families through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions.
• Advocates for patients' rights and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues.
• Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing learning needs.

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of direct Operating Room experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Education: BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• Certification: Basic Life Support with American Heart Association.

• Experience with the following cases:
  Ortho, Neuro/Spine, Robotics & Trauma
• Circulating and scrubbing experience
• AORN's Periop 101 curriculum completion and/or CNOR
