BLS and ACLS Required
2 years experience required - Cardiac Experience is NOT required.
Common diagnosis/Types of patients:
Stroke / acute ischemic stroke, Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), Subdural hematoma (SDH), Brain tumors, Cerebral edema / increased intracranial pressure (ICP), Hydrocephalus, Acute respiratory failure, Sepsis / septic shock, Pneumonia, ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome), COPD exacerbation, Asthma exacerbation, Acute heart failure / pulmonary edema, Acute kidney injury (AKI), Diabetic keto acidosis (DKA), Hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state (HHS), Gastrointestinal bleeding, Acute liver failure, Severe electrolyte abnormalities
Titrate Drips? Yes, Common titratable &/or set rate drips - Norepinephrine (Levophed) titratable, Epinephrine titratable, Vasopressin typically set rate, Phenylephrine (Neo-Synephrine) titratable, Dopamine titratable
