Objective. Responsive. Trusted. The Cross Domain Warfare Analysis Portfolio (CDWP), within the Sea, Land, & Air Analysis Group in SPA, conducts rigorous and objective analyses to enable the Navy and other DoW organizations to make decisions on war fighting capabilities. CDWP focuses on the challenges associated with integrated war fighting capability across multiple domains, from seabed to space. The team combines experienced military professionals, operations research analysts, and technology development & experimentation experts using quantitative and qualitative methods, models, and analysis tools.
CDWP’s experience, technical expertise, and analytic assessments help our clients identify war fighting gaps, set requirements, and develop the integrated and cross-domain war fighting solutions that our military will need to win. We support a range of clients including Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV), the Department of the Air Force Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications and Battle Management (DAF PEO C3BM), the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the Office of Naval Research (ONR), and the Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO).
SPA has an immediate need for a Military Operations Analyst to work at our Alexandria, VA office located at 2001 N. Beauregard Street. #KS Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and describing innovative concepts of operations and capability plans, and for translating them into detailed written and graphical descriptions used to develop and support tactical, operational and strategic cross domain warfare analysis and quantitative modeling and simulation (M&S) tools. They will be responsible for conducting military effectiveness analysis of alternative capabilities to inform the development of formal requirements and program plans across the spectrum of science and technology (S&T), research and development (R&D), and program acquisition.
They will also support, and eventually take a leading role in, the development and employment of modeling and simulation analysis tools and in briefing analysis results to top-level government decision makers.
They will support analyses and work with modeling and simulation tools such as GCAM and Archer/Cyber Assassin and a variety of other DoW models and modeling environments such as Advanced Framework for Simulation Integration and Modeling (AFSIM), the Synthetic Theater Operations Research Model (STORM), and the Next Generation Threat System (NGTS). They will also assist in the framing, development, and presentation of war fighting analyses by using models to analyze and assess military operations and technologies as well as conduct analysis of data sets, drafting white papers, compiling reports, and delivering briefs to clients.
