Director Of Account Services

As a Director of Account Services at Red Peg, you'll be a growth-minded account leader responsible for driving revenue across the agency while leading the teams that deliver the work. Growth is at the heart of this role. That means both organic expansion within our existing client relationships and net new business that brings fresh brands into the Red Peg roster.

You'll find the opportunities, build the case, win them, and make sure the teams around you execute them flawlessly.

You'll partner with senior leadership to shape and execute Red Peg's growth strategy, owning proposals, pitches, and expansion plays from first conversation to signed SOW. You'll build trusted relationships that turn one program into three, uncover needs clients haven't named yet, and translate those into scoped, sold, and profitable work. At the same time, you'll mentor and lead the Senior Managers, Managers, and Coordinators around you, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with Production, Creative, and Talent to bring it all to life.

Your ability to grow accounts, win new business, lead a strong team, and protect profitability is what will make you successful here.

What You'll Do

  • Drive account growth across the agency, owning both organic expansion of existing clients and net new business development.
  • Identify, pursue, and close organic growth opportunities within current accounts, turning single programs into long-term, multi-program partnerships.
  • Source and win net new clients, expanding the agency's roster and footprint.
  • Lead proposal and pitch processes end to end, partnering with senior leadership to shape strategy, scope, and pricing.
  • Develop and implement account strategies that drive long-term client growth, retention, and revenue.
  • Serve as the account and/or program lead for high-profile, complex client programs, ensuring success, profitability, and client satisfaction.
  • Build and approve account and program budgets and SOWs; ensure timely, accurate billing and own profitability against BvAs.
  • Build trusted, senior-level client relationships that create room to grow the relationship and uncover new needs.
  • Serve as a key day-to-day client partner, handling proactive communications and challenging conversations with a calm, solutions-focused approach.
  • Mentor and manage Senior Managers, Managers, and Coordinators, fostering team development; capable of onboarding and training junior staff up through the Senior Manager level.
  • Partner closely with Production, Creative, and Talent to deliver the work you sell, flawlessly and on strategy.
  • Ensure seamless communication and alignment between internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Represent Red Peg as a senior leader in client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
  • Travel as required to pursue growth opportunities and oversee client engagements.

What You're All About

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7–9+ years of relevant marketing, event, or sponsorship experience, with agency experience preferred.
  • A demonstrated track record of growing accounts and winning new business, both organically and net new, with real revenue to point to.
  • Experience leading and selling large-scale, high-profile programs such as major sports and entertainment moments, multi-market activations, or complex live event production.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client accounts and drive strategic growth.
  • Experience working with national and multinational brands, ideally on high-profile or global programs.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with a focus on developing the team around you.
  • Proven experience in budget management and financial accountability, including multi-million-dollar programs.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and pitch skills, including comfort selling to senior client stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, and Keynote.
  • Willingness to travel to oversee program activations and client engagements as needed
