On-Call Security Officer

ICS Security is seeking
dependable, professional Security Officers
for an
overnight fire watch position with on-call assignments
in the
Alexandria, Virginia area
. This role is ideal for individuals who are alert, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently during late-night hours.

All Security Officers
MUST
hold a
valid Virginia DCJS Security Guard Registration
prior to assignment.

As an
overnight, on-call Security Officer
, you will provide coverage at short notice for call-outs, special requests, or emergency staffing needs. Assignments may include:

• Residential communities
• Commercial properties
• Warehouses and office buildings
• Retail or mixed‑use sites

You’ll serve as a
visible deterrent
, monitor for unusual activity, and respond professionally to incidents during overnight hours when staffing is limited and awareness is critical.

• Monitor property for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or unauthorized access
• Respond calmly to alarms, disturbances, or client concerns
• Accurately document incidents and complete detailed nightly activity reports
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and clients

Valid
Virginia DCJS Security Guard Registration

Reliable transportation (overnight availability is essential)

Valid, non‑expired government‑issued

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Dependable and punctual, including short‑notice availability

Valid driver’s license (required for mobile patrol assignments)

Prior overnight, security, or customer‑service experience

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

No prior security experience required
