As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Alexandria, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal in a healthcare location where you will conduct routine patrols, remain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This armed post offers the opportunity to support patients, visitors, and staff while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access‑related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security‑related concerns.
• Support visitor management and access control activities by checking credentials, directing guests to appropriate areas, and reporting policy violations, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious behavior through proper channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
