Position: Armed Security Guard with Security Clearance
Summary The Armed Security Guard personnel will be responsible for providing security services at a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers location. Responsibilities
* Communicate via radio, telephone, and verbally in accordance with established orders and communication protocols.
* Interact with and escort public and government personnel as required, maintaining professionalism at all times.
* Provide access control and traffic control, and conduct walking and motorized armed security patrols to ensure the safety and security of personnel and property.
* Follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and government regulations related to the security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property, and equipment.
* Conduct personnel, vehicular, building, and facility inspections, including package and parcel screenings, in alignment with established security requirements.
* Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational and mission needs.
* Perform other duties as assigned in support of overall security operations. Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Armed Security Guard certification through DCJS.
* Active Secret clearance.
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* Certified in use of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Spray.
* Certified in use of Batons.
* Minimum of one year experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.
* Possess a current CPR certification through the American Red Cross.
* Successfully be able to meet PAT physical agility standards as set forth by customer.
* 1.5 mile run in 17:30 minutes
* 19 push-ups in 2 minutes
* MMPI test
