DutiesThis rewarding opportunity is ideal for you if you:
- Are excited about exercising day-to-day management of security staff and an agency's security operations.
- Are committed to serving as the agency's second-most senior Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 (HSPD-12) Official (PC Manager) and serving as senior authority on all matters pertaining to HSPD-12.
- Are well versed in overseeing a full range of security programs to include physical, information, personnel, industrial, documentary, and Operations Security (OPSEC).
- Have experience assisting with oversight and management of a comprehensive Physical Security Program which includes oversight over the USPTO campus and three regional offices and the electronic Physical Access Control System and an armed protective security officer contract force.
- Experience working with the entire range of security programs: physical, information, personnel, industrial, Operations Security (OPSEC) from the tactical level to the strategic;
- Experience providing oversight and guidance for security programs in accordance with federal statutes and regulations;
- Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures in all areas of security programs for appropriate execution of programs and in compliance with strategic objectives; and
- Experience providing oversight of comprehensive Emergency Management program which includes the development of plans and procedures to be activated in the event of a national or localized emergency requiring mobilization (e.g., COOP, Occupant Emergency Plans (OEP).
Education may not be substituted for specialized experience at this grade level.
