This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. Incumbent serves as a Security Specialist responsible for the enterprise business management under the general guidance of the Director. Incumbent is responsible for accomplishing a wide-variety of security administration functions. Incumbent may work directly with the DHRA Centers/Offices' leadership or designated personnel in implementing certain aspects of security administration functions.
You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
- Developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures related to Information Security, Physical Security, and Antiterrorism Security to protect personnel, assets, and classified national defense information;
- Leading security inspections and vulnerability assessments across various facilities, identifying compliance gaps, and providing recommendations for improvements to enhance security measures and safeguard sensitive information;
- Advising senior leadership on security-related matters, including regulatory compliance, risk management, and the integration of physical security, personnel protection, and emergency planning initiatives to mitigate security threats. (Experience must be reflected in resume).

You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:

- Leading security inspections and vulnerability assessments across various facilities, identifying compliance gaps, and providing recommendations for improvements to enhance security measures and safeguard sensitive information;

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
