Role Description

The LED Wall Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, VA. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and operating LED video walls and related display systems for events of varying sizes and complexity. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing event requirements, planning power and signal distribution, performing pre-event testing, and troubleshooting technical issues during setup and live operation. The LED Wall Engineer collaborates with project managers, audio and lighting technicians, and clients to ensure accurate system deployment, safe operation, and high-quality visual output.

Responsibilities also include maintaining equipment, documenting configurations, and supporting continuous improvement of LED wall workflows and standards.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in electrical concepts and safe working practices, including Electricity and basic Electrical Engineering skills.
  • Experience with Electrical Design related to event or installation environments, including layout of cabling and connections for LED wall systems.
  • Knowledge of Power Systems, including load calculations and safe operation of AV power infrastructure.
  • Ability to work with Power Distribution systems for events, including temporary power setups, power management, and coordination with venue staff.
  • Hands‑on experience installing, configuring, and operating LED displays, video processors, and related signal routing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, event layouts, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues under time constraints.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate on‑site with cross‑functional AV teams and clients.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules.
  • Relevant technical certification or degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience is also valued.
