Position Overview Akamai Intelligence is seeking an experienced Electronics Security Systems (ESS) Technician to join our team in Alexandria, VA. The ESS Technician will install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic security systems in a mission-critical facility environment. The ideal candidate will be C-CURE certified and comfortable working hands-on with access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related integrated systems. Responsibilities Install, configure, test, and maintain access control and surveillance systems, including cabling, readers, cameras, panels, and power supplies.
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electronic security equipment and infrastructure. Use C-CURE 9000 system for configuration, diagnostics, and system upgrades. Collaborate with security managers, IT, and facilities staff to ensure system reliability and compliance with security standards. Document installations, wiring diagrams, and service logs in accordance with company and customer requirements. Support project leads in system integration and commissioning tasks.
Provide responsive onsite technical support to resolve system faults, alarms, or failures.
